I’m the founding member of the Auto-Enrolment Bureau, having left the corporate world behind to set up the business in 2013. My background is very much in pensions and payroll services, as I previously worked at Associate level for the country’s largest firm of independent Actuaries and Pension Consultants, Barnett Waddingham, for nearly 20 years. I’m on hand any time to discuss technical issues with clients. I’m still very hands-on with all of the payrolls we run. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, Blossy, around the Cotswold countryside and caring for my two rescue horses.
I have been a qualified Chartered Accountant for over 20 years and have worked in industry as Finance Director and Managing Director. I’ve been involved with the Auto-Enrolment Bureau right from the start, helping Sarah drive the business forwards and providing support and advice. I also manage the company finances. I’m very proud of everything that the business has achieved. I think this comes from being proactive and staying close to our clients. They know they can contact us any time and be reassured that we’re bang up-to-date with current legislation. At the weekends you will find me working in the garden. I have recently taken on a big project of landscaping my back garden! It’s been fun learning how to use a digger.
I joined the team as Payroll Manager in 2016, having studied accountancy and qualified at AAT Level 4. I became a Director of the company in October 2020. As well as my accounting experience, I have had considerable exposure to payroll work in my previous roles. I manage the day-to-day running of the payrolls and enjoy working with our lovely clients, helping them with any issues or problems they might have. I like the fact that we know all of our clients well, and we understand the intricacies and differences of each and every payroll that we run. My love of maths and systems certainly helps in this job, as you have to be organised! Outside of work, I have a more creative side and I enjoy crafts – I can often be found selling my wares at the local arts and crafts stall!
